Roger Perreault (Pierre)
02/28/07 My name is Roger Perreault (Pierre). I served with Dust Off from July 68-june 70. I was a crew chief flying my first mission at Soc Trang and completing my missions at Binh Thuy. It was truly a honor and good fortune to fly 1350 hours with an elite crew of professions like yourself and the like of many others I see on your web site. Those include Mr. Lockyears, Mr Wuenrich, Mr. Luchmiller, Mr. Hillard, Mr. turner, Mr. Hoopchuk. And how about all the crewchiefs ,medics and all the fond memories. It's wounderful how the mind allows us to remember the good and forget the bad. I recall when Terry Wilson and I were on a mission when he took his million dollar buller to the right knee. I was so happy for him when we dropped him at the hospital but yet like the rest of the crew couldn't wait to get back to the same LZ to complete unfinished business.

Sitting behind the pilot with the copilot and medic to my right gave me a comfortable feeling that Dust-off could complete any mission night or day, hot or not with enthusiasm and excitement to get to the next. After all wasn't it about saving lives and grubbing the hours. We had a purpose, we met it and 82nd Dust-off will not be forgotten.
