| For those of you who have never attended a
VFW or American Legion gun show, I will give you a short overview of the
shows we have had at American Legion Post 222 in Oakland Park.
Post 222 has a very large hall that accommodates up to 42 tables. At all gun shows they have the Kitchen open. You can get a good breakfast for $4.00 and they offer a variety of side dishes. They also offer Hot-dogs for $1.00 to $1.50 and large Hamburgers for $2.25. The menu varies from show to show but the food is always good. We have a variety of venders and private sellers/collectors at the show. The Bar is open at about 10:00 AM and you can get a drink if you want. Draft beer is from $1.25 to $1.75 depending on the brand. Bottle and Can beer is $2.25. Mixed drinks are $.2.50 for well brands. Sodas are $1.00 with a cup of ice. Admission to the show is $4.00 and the parking is free. We normally have a volunteer working the parking lot to help you find a place to park. Vender tables are $30.00
All proceeds from the show go to help Veterans. |
